After such mad rush and bad news about visa bulletin revision? How many are considering to file on July 2nd and July 3rd? What is the general advice regarding filing from lawyers and oneself about sending documents on July 2nd and July 3rd?
My lawyer is sending through FedEx - overnight delivery - going there on July 3rd. My worry - Is it a huge risk on my part? What happens if Monday morning it is revised, or worst Tuesday it is revised?
How many are risking on this??

How the hell can they justify filing new GCs, but not accepting EAD!?
All these requirements are Position Specific. Before publishing externally, most companies (HR) decides the policy first for an example to which kind of person they will hire for this position like " We will not consider H1 for this position" seeing the "Critical and essential need of "blah " blah"..." And they then follow it. So it may happen that one person gets an answer " We do not consider EAD holder for this position.." and next month you may meet somebody (EAD Holder) working for that company on EAD but for different position as company made apolicy to hire EAD holder for that particular kind of position.

My labor (EB3) and 140 were approved a while ago.My company has sent H1B extension for three years in Feb 07.There was a query requesting for additional evidence from USICS in Apr 07.They are requesting lot of my company info and nothing about myself.My Company is taking its own sweet time to respond.Now I am eligible to file 485 as per the latest June visa dates for EB3.My question is could I file 485 when H1b extension is pending.My previous I94 expired on May 07.Please help as it is urgent.If the visa dates move back again then it will be horrible.My Company didn't file during concurrent filing and has eaten 2 years of my life and now they may use this to further hold me..any help will be appreciated.

I am sorry if I am wrong, but do you think if IV CORE try to hold a meeting with top CIS officials on this issue, wouldn't that be more effective? Many members reported not getting proper response to letters. Who knows whether anyone @CIS has time & willingness to read and act on our letters? Why not take an active approach rather than passive one?
I agree, We still should send the letters though. I will send mine by monday Nov. 10. Meanwhile, if we can do the webfax or email, we may can have more members participate. just my 2 cents!

Actually this letter campaign is just one part of the whole exercize. There are other efforts to talk with USCIS officials but to get positive/quick results we need to make enough noise so that officials recognize that it is a problem affecting large number of people. We need to keep on sending letters.
As can be expected its not an easy task to establish a proper channel and talk to officials and make them agree that recent spate of denials are wrong and are not in accordance with AC21 regulations (as someone pointed out AC21 regulations are only guidelines and not rules - so we need to tread a careful path here). To establish this proper channel and also for strong negotiation in our favor - we need to bring attention to this issue. The best way for that is to write to them - of course we might receive some generic replies, its fine - but if we send hundreds of letters with same request/complaint it does will catch their attention and help us in speeding up the other steps that are thought of as part of this campaign.

I was absolutely pissed off with the "local" ppl that got greedy and dragged the whole economy with them. Seeing that there are ppl like you (one of us) who are pretty much the same, i am seething with rage. Because of idiots like you, people with a pristine credit history of more than ten years and some saved money cant buy a decent house in the bay area (and elsewhere) and have to see their hard-earned money go down the drain in 401k and stocks.....I wish ppl like you rot in foreclosure hell and no one ever lends credit you, ever again!!!

These decisions are made by people in power and so called smart people. Individuals do have their contribution to the problem but the macro decisions provided them means to have things which they can not afford. The bubble had to burst sooner or later ....
So right now, remember wealth is always relative. So since you haven't bought house, you don't have negative equity or declining value home.You haven't foreclosed so you can still get loan at decent rate and buy house at much cheaper price. All the people with money in the market are affected by recent downturn. So relatively speaking you are doing much better than a lot of other people ....
BTW I am in the same situation as you are and waiting for good opportunity to buy house at cheap price. Do you see the positive side ? I hope you do .....

On what basis you are saying that Oct'2008 PD will be similar to Jun'2007. Didn't you read the note in Sep'2008 VB that PD for EB3 category will retrogress further.

If you think giving us citizenship will be easy becoz it will prop up their vote bank think again coz it will never happen. Imagine the headlines which says recession time 10M americans out of job, foreign workers to get citizenship LMAO!

Should not be an issue. I spoke recently to one of the attorneys and they mentioned that H-1B transfer should not be an issue. As long as you have a job offer in similar classification it should be fine. Regarding the AC21 they suggested that if dates are current then a good approach is to wait for filing AC21 and see if you get the GC. If you don't and dates retrogress then file it later. But filing immediately also wouldn't hurt.
My I-485 case is current right now. If I change my employer(whoever sponsored Green Card) to a new employer, what are the concequences? I want to do H1B transfer because I am not using EAD right now, should I file AC21 or not?

Letting your bank forclose on you or filing for bankruptcy is not a decision you take lightly asking people on the forum for advice. Your credit score can go down by as much as 300 points affecting you financially over the next few years which you perhaps have not really thought about. Just because you have existing loans (like credit cards) on a low rate does not mean they are 'locked'. Banks can hike the rates periodically based on your current score often to as high as 32 %. This is not pennies but can be hundreds of dollars in interest. Ever got harsh calls from collectors ? Ever got evicted from your place of residence ? Ever got denied when you try to rent ? Try living only on cash for a few weeks and see how it feels without credit. I have not gone through any of those thankfully but have seen and heard horror stories. Consult a professional or do research on your own before making a decision.

Why would he continue to pay interest and principal when his house may not get to the same value in his lifetime? I think foreclosure is a small price to pay in that light.

I received a phone call (WOW!) from a sweet lady from CIS Ombudsman's office. I sent letters to his office and in the letter I mentioned my cell #. Anyway she wants a real person who got deniel. I told her that my friend got deniel (IVens are my fried). Anyway, she sent an email too after I asked her to give her info so that my friend can send her his case details. the first contact for the congressman's office is the relevant consulate. so it doesn't hurt. it is a simple process. your boss has to sign a confidentiality release document for you and attach a cover letter. to help your boss, identify the congressman, go to the congressman's website and find out where the forms are, write a draft cover letter etc . you can do this yourself i.e enquire as a constituent just in case you don't want to involve your boss. i think it may be better that it goes through your boss

2. Passport copies- all pages, current, all old.

4. Birth Certificates or Birth Affidavits

I don't think there will be anyone there Saturday or Sunday. FedEx, UPS, and USPS also don't deliver Sundays, and usually not on Saturdays, either.

I just spoke to customer service .they mentioned all cell calls to india are free under this WORLD plan.who ever is signing up , can proceed , can call customer service to confirm this as well to avoid any surprise charges

485 Notice Date: Sep 7, 2007; LUD 05/12/2009
Got RFE for Employer Letter, Missing Vaccination and G325. Replied on Apr 30, 2009

The last updated on my and wife's files were on 05/12/2009 (after the RFE Respnose)
I Went to the Local USCIS center on 08/02/2010. IO mentioned that Name check and FBI check had cleared. But he could not tell if my case was assigned to an IO. He asked me to open an SR. I called the 1-800 number and opened an SR on 08/03/10. I got a standard email from USCIS for the SR I opened, on 08/11/2010. It said that my case and my wife's were both were under review and it would take up to 60 days for them to process it.
On 08/13/2010 8.03 CST, I got a SMS on my cell that My case status was updated. I had received that Card Production was ordered on 08/12/2010.
Now, I am waiting on my wife's approval.
