I would support this bill since it makes a lot of sense. I am not going to benefit from this since I have masters and not PhD but people who have sacrificed the lure of big money to live on campus with 2-3 roomies for almost 5 years in which time their friends who graduated are driving lexus and staying in 5 Br homes need some consolation prize. This is a great move for these students as well as the country.
While I definitely support this bill, I fail to understand your logic here. They definitely are bright candidates but they did everything by choice for the personal and professional gain. They should be given GC because they are asset to this country not because they don't own lexus or 5 Br house which by the way tells a lot about other hardworking people who own them.

Hi,
My company is asking me to pay the extension fees for 3rd term with same company. I had approved 140. In USCIS receipt it says amount received: $320. Then why I am asked to pay $1820. Is the $1500 towards training is to be paid by employee or employer?
Most probably the 1500 is attorney fees.

As everyone pointed out there are lot of things in favor of the employers, Attoreys & USCIS when I 140 is revoked. The only thing that comes to our rescue is AC 21 when followed as per the guideline which is currently not being done.
Guys, Please support the IV AC 21 Campaign and let us help ourselves..

When explaining the risk of potentially stricter AC21 regulations to I-485 applicants, we are frequently asked, "If I change jobs under AC21 and the regulations are released after that, they won't apply to me, right?" Unfortunately, this is not correct. While it is not possible to predict the content or effective date of any future regulations, they will likely apply at the time of adjudicating the I-485 application, and not just when the job change occurs. In a hypothetical example, if new regulations were to limit the percentage of acceptable salary difference, or prevent multiple portings, the officer adjudicating the I-485 could decide that the job change violates the regulations, even if the change occurred months or years before the new regulations were issued.

Hi Guys,
I live in Peoria, IL . This place is 3 hours south of Chicago. Just now, I joined the group. I would like to know whether the residents of IL state are going to DC. If yes, is there any BUS planned for the travel or have they formed any group to travel by Air or Van or Car etc.
As DC area will be new for IL residents, if there are known troop, it would be easy to move from airport and also to reach the rally destination etc.
I would appreciate members responding about their group plan so that it would be convinent for others to join the troop and proceed to the desired rally.

It was a great rally. Awesome job by the IV core team. It was very well organized. I thank all the IV core team members for that. I got to meet macaca and lots of other people.
Big round of applause to the CA members for showing up in such big numbers. I wished more people should have attended from the DC, NJ, MD and other neighboring states.
Overall it was a great day for IV !!!!

I am in the same boat. My 1st paper file was rejected the same reasons (incorrect fee and no I485 notice.)
so I efiled right away after i got the returned package on june 24. I received the notice a week later dated June 24. Since then, no news... no updated.
Since that people who filed the 1st week of June had already got their renewal notices or physical cards.......
mine current exp on Aug 14... so far I only have 2 weeks....
will I get anything within 2 weeks??????
Anyone out here file around June 24 at TSC and got any news???????

My wife changed her job after getting H1B transfer receipt. Her previous H1B is not expired or revoked. After one month with new employer, her H1B is denied. We didn't appeal, but immediately filed new H1B with another employer and give paystub of the denied employer with all details. She got her H1B approved with the latest employer. This happened 4 years back.
So, if H1B denied, you can file appeal or find a new job and file new petition ASAP.
Thank you for your information.I hope you know the situation right now in USA.In jan 2010 H1 people came to Newark Airport were asked to form in a separate queue as soon as they get down from the flight for two levels of interview.Some of them are sent back.Now you can't find employer to transfer your H1 immediately.Before two years it was possible to transfer H1 with out having recent pay stubs and they never asked client letter.Now if you don't have a job you can't transfer your H1 to anybody.
Before Sep 2009 it was two minutes time to take LCA. Now it takes 1 week time to approve LCA. We never heard about Employer-Employee relationship before 2010.
So, if H1B denied, you can file appeal or find a new job and file new petition ASAP.

Unless you can play some smart games using an attorney, you cannot use an EAD to change job classifications as long as you are the primary applicant.

The documents being asked, all are always in your hand, just keep few copies and keep sending for every H1 transfer.
Hope you are not doing H1 transfer every three months.
To make you more sad, there is a change in the process (read in murth news letter), that all the documents must be attached even if you want to make an amendment in your petition. So, you have your name misspelled, date misspelled, birth date wrong, prepare one more set of documents for that too.

One of my friend got EAD 2 year back even though his priority date was not came. Ofcourse this was even b4 this mess created USCIS. He was still using his H1 till couple months back, he is afraid of USCIS may roll back his EAD since PD is not yet reached.
I do heared 11 people from Infxxxx company got EAD even though their PD was not current. They are saying by mistake send the package but they got EAD.
I do know personally that person on the 1st paragraph, on the 2nd paragraph I dont have any evidence.....
Just sharing this information to help this thread, hope there may be lot more cases got EAD without PD even before this mess they have created.:D
