may not be a bad idea to enter different zip codes each time and reach out to many more publications.
I am doing that for all the places I have lived in (I think that makes it a valid idea) and that way sending out mesg to 5-6 times the # of pubs.

A lot of it is field dependent!
I am in medical device industry, and do see a lot of hiring going on in this field.

Mine took 8 days after the online status changed to approved-so don't worry. It's funny, on their website, they said documents mailed on sept 10, but i rcvd them on sept 17th. When i rcvd the AP, i realized the documents were mailed on sept 13-sept -- so don't blindly trust what is online.
There was a black line---uscis printer completely screwed up-and the first line of the address on mailing envelope and the address was completely un-readable. I am not sure how we even got it in mail.
I second to CC123. I had G-28 on everything. I got the EAD and AP directly. However, I did not get any original receipt notices from USCIS. My lawyer got the all original receipt notices.

Yes! If there's nothing wrong in your EAD application (which should be none because USCIS received it), expect to receive your EAD approval on the third to last week of October.
NSC is already approving July 2 EAD applications as of the moment; therefore, your case is very near.

I got my stamping till 2010 based on my I-140. I did that to save another visit to embassy when I go out of country and its costing me dearly. The visa stamp clearly mentions the effective dates from both 797s. So the officer asked for both 797s and stamped the end date from the current one. As he sounded positive that I can update it at my local USCIS, I didn't persuade him much. Maybe I should've done that!!!
Why did you show him the previous 797 anyways? Doesn't the previous 797 get invalidated the moment you get a new 797?

ask lawyer to file MTR and resend response to RFE along with it. You should get a quick response (within 4-6 weeks). If MTR is denied, ask to file appeal, but sometimes it's better to change employer and start from scratch. Appeal can be a long process.

The failure of the D2H to be even remotely competitive with the 1D Mk 11 even though both cameras had similar development cycles is simply a embarrassment.

Try this company for a mortgage. When I bought my house in 2006, I used them. They had the best rates, closing costs are relatively cheaper too. They are a small company, but are very customer friendly. Once they loan you the money, eventually, they will sell that mortgage to one of the big banks -- Countrywide, Citi etc. At that point, you'll need to start dealing with the new company.

Hi,
I am in bit of a situation and trying to sort my options. I got my EAD, last month. Also took care of finger printing and received AP documents also. I 485 was filed in July 07. My I-140 is not yet approved.I am accepted to school in france for one year business course, starting Jan and ending Dec 08. Max I can fly back few times from France to US, for few days (In case there is rule for not staying abroad for more than six months). Plea
I am planning to either
a) Submitmy resignation and leave US by end of Nov 07 OR
b) take Leave of Absence from my firm for 15 months.
Is there a way I can continue my GC processing, factoring that I will be out of states for whole of next year.
Your suggestions are sincerely appreciated
Thanks,
Alp
First of all you need to talk to your emplopyer before you take any decision. What if he revokes the I140.Then when you get back to US you have to start the GC process again.
Why dont you defer your business course for a yr.By that time you're I140 wld be most likely approved and then you wld have passed 180 days. That makes it easy for your GC to process.

In the Land of 10000 Lakes(Minnesota), State DL issues DL only till your I-94 validity.
I was waiting for my H1 Approval and that didnt turn up in time before my current one expired. (Thx to Extremely Efficient USCIS) The State revoked my Spouse's license and she was told that she cant drive till she produce a document that states we are legal here.
Fortunately they accepted my receipt notice and gave her 90 addl days to prove our Legal Status. What a Hassle...

I am switching job using my EAD and my 485 was filed 2 years ago (EB2 Sept 2006 priority date). I-140 is also approved. My new employer will not sponsor for green card or H1 but the job is similar, actually it is exactly the same as I am merely taking a full time position in my client's company. My old employer is OK with the move and have even offered me to be on their payroll until i get my GC. Can I have two employers?

05/26/2006: Critical Role of House-Senate Conference Committee and Importance of Selection of the Conferees
More than ever, in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation, the role of the upcoming House-Senate Conference Committee will be critically important. Traditionally, once conference committee reaches an agreement, the floors of both Houses usually accepted the compromise report of the conference committee. It is thus critically important to learn who will be selected to the conference committee by each House. The key players in the selection are the Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, Majority and Minority leaders in both Houses.
In the Senate, the floor has already decided how the conferees from the Senate will be selected. It proposes to send conferees at the ratio of 14 from the House and 12 from the Senate. On the Senate side, all the conferees will be selected from the Judiciary Committee at the ratio of 7 from the Republicans and 5 from the Democrats. On the Republican side, the Majority leader will select the seven Republican conferees and the Minority leader will select the five Democrat conferees. Without doubt, the Democrats will select the hardcore supporters of the CIR, but it is unclear who the Majority leader Bill Frist will pick on the Republican side. He may attempt to balance between the hardcore supporters and the hardcore opponents within the party. We just wish that the hardcore Republican opponents who posed a roadblock to the today's passage of the bill in the Senate as revealed in the amendment and final roll calls do not take a dominant power on the Republican side of the Senate delegaton. Readers may want to know who these opponents are by checking the voting records of S. 2611.
