If you have problem with individuals, companies, sue them find legal ways to stop their wrong doing. It is good for everyone. Dishonesty is not a patent of any country. is'nt this exactly what the investment bankers and speculators on wall street did? It was not illegal (since Paulson and Dubya have deregulated the market so much) but it has now led to the biggest economic downturn in decades, has decimated the retirement savings of millions, and led to millions losing their homes and jobs. Nothing illegal, good for the people who made those decisions (millions in bonuses) but absolutely disasterious for society as a whole.
this is a big irritant I have in this whole problem. People are blaming everyone but themselves. Those who bought houses to flip, or mortgages that they cant afford blame the lenders, the housing market, alan greenspan etc. The CEOs of the Detroit big-3 earlier this week blamed the economy, california emission standards, fuel prices etc.
WHat has happened to taking responsibility for their own actions?? Of all the financial firms it is the one doing somewhat ok: Goldman Sachs, which has cancelled bonuses for their execs. All these other firms which came tincan in hand begging for taxpayer bailouts should all also, by default cancel all salaries and bonuses for the execs. But no, there is no taking of responsiblity any more. Any problem that anyone in America has, is someone else's fault. Disgusting.

No I did not contact KCC.

The kentucky number mentioned in one of the replys confirms the date on which our H1 was approved. When you call up the number, on mentioning your case #, it pulls up the date on which H1b was approved.
Could anyone who's received a email/ call please post a message to the group, indicating the wait time and date of the first interview?

Hi All-
Any ideas where can I get the latest specs for the individual photos (I485 filing purpose). I searched the web but couldn't find a USCIS document. I heard they no longer accept the 75 degree looking face.

Shouldn't the photographer know about it? I get my passport size photos taken at costco. I think they make sure that photographs adhere to the standard.

This is just a message to 2005/2006/2007 PD guys. Please don't think that some miracle will happen and dates will be current soon, it will take its own time. Mostly for EB2 & EB3June 2006- June 2007 guys, it will be like a lottery if the PD becomes current somewhere in 2007 Oct-Nov time. Right??
So life is not always easy. There are people waiting since 2002-03-04.

As my parents,in laws and most of my relatives stay there. Not only mine, allmost all guys who are in the IV, they must have parents and relatives in India for sure. There is no other reason why I said India is great.

Let's have a look over OCT bulletin after 2 months and for sure dates will move atleast 4-6 months for EB2 guys and 1 year for EB3 guys. So wait, be patient, instead of doing all this.

On FEb 4th my wife and myself went for H1-B visa renewal interview at Chennai Consulate. Both visas got approved. My wife passport was returned with in 3 days. It seems they have found her petitition online. My passport stuck with consulate. I called consulate today, and they have asked me to call back next week end. She said they were not able to locate my petition online.
How long it can take? 1 week or 2 weeks or 1 month? Please provide your experiences for those passports took more than 3 days. I have seen max 1 month in the forum.

I don't disagree with any of the statements.. It is totally personal decision for someone to donate or not.
I agree that there is no silver bullet in any analysis. It is a number crunching game.. What is important is follow-up after analysis, which is only possible with IV.
Dems want votes and more Hispanics
GOP want more temps since it is very good for business
Lawyers want more money so they are not interested in solutions. They are in it for money
Individuals want their greencard just in time and not worry about the guy right behind them..

All we need is just 233,816(page 2) visas(forget about country limit, EB category etc). In that case in 2 years we will have 280,000(140,000 * 2) visas. So should we all get GC in two years with that logic.

Why do you think so...coz I'm in that state. My spouse who is the primary applicant got the card and my application is still in review ???
Here is the procedure if a deratives I-485 is pending after primary's is approved :
If a family member's derivative adjustment of status application has been pending in excess of 30 days from the approval date of the principal applicant's Form I-485, please submit to cisombudsman.publicaffairs@dhs.gov:
�DHS Form 7001;
�A copy of the principal applicant's Form I-485 approval notice;
�A copy of the Form I-485 receipt notice for the derivative; and
�Any other evidence that is pertinent to the case.
In your email, please note in the subject line: "Unapproved Derivative I-485."
