We have 8000+ members but only 200+ contributed. I have been thinking about it and here is one possible answer. If you look at the poll result about whether we should push for 485 or not, there are about 280 guys supporting this goal. Maybe almost all recurring contributions are from this group. :confused:

I can work on this over a weekend. However, the contribution information is known only to the core group. So someone in the core group will have to enter contribution info into the database and set up the procedure call to return only the member level and not the contribution amount to shield info.

Could someone list the names of senators and house representatives who head the immigration sub committees..each one of us can send web faxes, with varying texts and punch lines, on a daily basis for the next 3 months.
My take is, this year, if we could facilitate the debate on SKIL/DREAM bill, they would pass both floors given the political shift that happended towards the end of year 2006.

What takes priority in life? Time with family or getting stuck in the GC mill.
I find it disheartening that a senior member like you would advice someone on foregoing their pleasure trip and donating to IV. Would you be willing to cancel all your pleasure trips/family outings to donate money to IV? If you do, i feel sorry for your family.
Please donate that extra money meant for leisure to IV instead going to Bahama this year.

Senate majority leader and the bill sponsors have said before that they would like senate to take up this issue in March and a final vote sometime in April. Now whether you can trust these guys for what they say or if the political situation in March will allow this to happen, no one really knows. To some extent, it's like visa bulletin prediction where we almost never get it right. Just do your own research and by March 30th, we'll all know if it was taken up or not. If not, we'll predict that it will be taken up by April .. and the saga will continue. After few hundred posts, you'll learn not to ask these kind of questions which no one has any answer for. :D

Why haven't you filed for H1 extn? You need your H1 if you want to bring your future wife inside US. If you have an approved I-140, use it to get a 3 year H1 Extn if not you can get 1 year extn based on labor filing.

Please let us know. I think some Xfr cases are now seeing FP notices, but not sure if they mean anything becuase, bay area, CA FP centers seem to be backlogged more than anywhere else.

Then 2012 Eb3 PD will be 2007 or 2008 and EB2 will become current. Also in 400k many drop outs will be there due to recession
So it is a reasonable calculation that PD will start improve from 2010 end. Only problem is CIS should not waste Visa. Each number of waste of visa will impact EB3
the effort to address the ugly country caps and retrogression in general shouldnt depend on someone else's misfortune - why should we profit from some other familiy's heartache? the system is atrocious and needs to be reformed - even if you get your gc tomorrow, hopefully u wont instantly join the group that wants to shut the door on those following-& pls make sure whateevr u sire too doesnt turn anti like the nutcases that i've come across

moving into a bigger and better role in your current company? I have been given multiple offers to jump into senior roles [in diff area than my current one] within my company and have had to refuse due to the greencard processing thats ongoing [I-140 approved last week].
Can I get a 3-yr extension and move into a new role during the extension period, apply for new LC using PERM and use my current PD?

If he is going to start with new PERM. new I-140, he can port the old PD based on old I-140.
