Bummer is a word used to express disappointment.

USCIS have reviewed my application in October and in February for pre-adjudication. How I am sure about that is because in Feb my wife got an RFE for Medical and mine was fine. Unless the primary is fine they will not touch dependent.
I got an RFE for medical and my wife got an RFE for "Status during a certian period" last September at the same time. We replied to the RFE and the case status now says "Case Resumed...." for both.
Since my wife(derivative) had a RFE, can i take it for granted that my case is pre-adjudicated?

I have EAD for couple of years & when I moved to Ohio, I was issued 4 years DL. They did look at I-94 (I travelled on AP having one year validaty on I-94), also they DID NOT looked at my EAD expiry date..They asked very simple question - Do you have your SSN? Thats it..!
C'mon...Guys, come to Ohio..you will get DL for 4 years..
I am not sure if the laws have changed but I worked in Cincinatti, OH before sept 11 and they renewed my driver license until the H1b expiration date.
Later in FL until the I 94 date
Later in NH until the I 94 date.

Hi,
Some online tax return websites have capabilities of pulling your W2 information from IRS site. I know turbotax does. Print out all those copies and your pay stubs. Send it to IRS with letter stating your problem. Before you do please apply for extension as april 15th is last date for tax return filing.
My wife worked as a consultant for first half of 2008 with a desi employer as an employee (on W-2). After many calls and emails we received W-2 Thursday that has income and taxes of only first two months. Now he says that he showed remaining 4 months as his profit so he can only send 1099. Please advise if I can take any legal action against this employer.

I love your optimism.
1) EB 2 will be current. You are saying 09 Apr. I disagree. It will be at least 2 years before EB2 can be current.
2) After EB2 is current EB3 ROW will be advanced. You are saying 09 Apr. Again I disagree. To make EB3 ROW current will take up to 2 years after EB2 is made current.
3) After that EB3 will move. You are saying 09 Apr. I couldn�t disagree more. Even after that EB3 will get visa not used by all others for that year.
Thanks for being optimistic about EB3 but EB3 movement is not going to happen anytime soon.
EB3 I and in general all EB applicants need a solution now.
Until this process becomes so painful for us that we either go back or do a mass movement to get some legislative relief there are no better days for us.
USCIS is trying to make EB2 all countries Current sometime during FY 2009. Of course "a few" 2004, 2005 cases will still be pending past Oct08 but hopefully not too many.
If EB1 and EB2 are shown as current soon, then the DOS can transfer the so-called "spillover" into EB3 ROW, then into EB3 IN & CH.
Based on available numbers, EB3 India / China will see rapid movement in dates April 09 Visa Bulletin onwards.
What will happen during 2009 in all likely hood is the following,
Almost all EB1 spillover will go to EB3. (~ 25k)
Some of EB1 and all of EB2 spillover will go to EB2 IN/CH (~ 10k to 15k)
In 2009, there will be no more Name Check delays - therefore expect rapid EB3 approvals after April 09.

One of my friend got EAD 2 year back even though his priority date was not came. Ofcourse this was even b4 this mess created USCIS. He was still using his H1 till couple months back, he is afraid of USCIS may roll back his EAD since PD is not yet reached.
I do heared 11 people from Infxxxx company got EAD even though their PD was not current. They are saying by mistake send the package but they got EAD.
I do know personally that person on the 1st paragraph, on the 2nd paragraph I dont have any evidence.....
Just sharing this information to help this thread, hope there may be lot more cases got EAD without PD even before this mess they have created.:D

News Clips won't help much. Better to get some documents from your Company that shows it really is on the downside like financial statements. However, make sure you also have a proof that when they applied for I-140 and you applied for GC, the company is still in good financial status; that is was only later that the company suffered losses.

Do you have anough evidence to say that in June, the Company is doing alright but not now, September? that in June, your position is still available but not anymore in September? that the company did not hire any replacement for you?

What are you going to achive by knowing about US citizens..???
If they make a rule wherin US born child parents should be given the US citizen ship, hands down I can say immigrant will make use of this rule efficiently.:D:D:D:D:D

Also, I am sure in this case no one is going to try LC-substitution.
In addition, no one is going to agree to file a case as a 'future employer'. It will only be filed once the employee really commits to the sponsor.

Funds, There are more ideas than funds. For every new campaign, plan, we need funds. So it is an ever needed commodity. We can do a lot and lobby effectively, we just need more funds, plain and simple. Inspite of several hundreds contributing, it is not enough. Remember IV is a non-profit, so every penny is accounted for. People handling money (core IV) are sincere, honest hardworking people on work-visas, they have much to lose from not being accountable. And the most important thing is, please take a look at these hard-working IV CORE PEOPLE, please. Some of them have put thousands of dollars (I mean 5 and ten thousand) into this effort. I am not counting personal expenses, travelling to DC, lost work hours etc.
So your $100 at the bowling arena, or $50 at dinner or $35 bouquet wont get you much farther, but your recurring contribution to IV will.

With mush ballyhoo, the Nikon D2H hit the streets not too long ago. It was approximately two years in the making, and seemed to counter the 1D for Nikon users. The Canon 1D Mark II (on paper) , seems to be a very significant improvement to the 1D, and jettisons again past the D2H. How confident can Nikon users be that Nikon can maintain pace in the professional DSLR arena?
