Like Apume pointed out, if there is Good News on preadjudication, it will be posted on other web sites and forums too. I don't think IV has exclusive rights on posting these things. So you will get to know it one way or the other.

I am just asking why i lost my Donor Access? Not begging.
They opened a thread, "Good News on preadjudication"...I just wanted to take a look at it.
If you count how many people contributed more than me, you will not find more than 100 members. If top 100 contributers dont have access, who will have accesss to Donor Forums.... What is the freaking use? Why even have Donor Threads?
No Accountability results in No Credibility.

I read in interesting piece by Bjorn Rorslett on this very subject of stacked polarizers.
Bjorn says it is possible to achieve a sort of false color IR by stacking a Circular and Linear polarizing filters.
As an ND this is really not effective because it is anything but neutral IMO.

Hi Guys,
Thought you might interested in my case status. I have visited chennai consulate and my case was approved without any questions raised. They did not even asked any documents for verification. All I submitted were DS 156, DS 157 AND I797. I am glad to share my experience. Thanks for offering suggestions and sharing your experience. :D

I did the fingerprinting on 06/02/07, first and only time. So, it took exactly one month between FP and 485 approval.

I agree with you that it is a random process but the processing date that is shown indicates that all the cases prior to that date have been "served". So, TSC-Oct 14 means, cases received on Oct 14 and later are currently being served. Hope this helps.

I am happy to share with you all that I applied my 485 on 1 week of June and it got approved today.
My PD was dec 2005. eb3. India.
Thought i would share with you all.:)
Correct me if i am wrong. In May Visa bulletin the PD date was April 2004 and in June 13 th Visa bulletin it was Current for July filer and after that everybody knows about the fiasco. How come you filed in June when your PD was not current (Your PD in mail is Dec 2005)?

i am also in the same situ.
my lawyer asked me & my wife to sign a document before he proceeds. I was supposed to sign it today. but i am scarred.
the other thing is if uscis rejects it, i have to pay my lawyer add'l $250 for re-filing.
i just spent $650 for medicals taking time off..
not worth...
i am getting frustrated... and can t control....

Most of the above documnets were optional 2 years back, but now it become compulsory in all these, Workorder/SOW and PO is very much necessary, for an approval, Since this is a Premium Processing, there are chances of getting an RFE, asking for original contract between client and the vendor, at that time you can ask the Final Vendor or Client to send or Fax the contract directly to USCIS. And ask your attorney to mention in a covering letter in the RFE that the contract is sent by your Vendor Attorney thru mail or fax,

I too work for my wife. Example of work, doing laundry, taking kid to his day care, grocery , cleaning etc... The specific answers are below
1. Can "A" work for his wife and also get paid in check?
- I get nothing, why should you?.
2. Can "A" have a second job in his wife's company and retain his original job?
- Come on man, her majesty's service has to be your first job.
3. Can "A" have a different occupation anywhere else on EAD not related to his original job role? and then can "A" get paid in check?
- No comments
4. Can "A" work for his wife's company and instead wife gets the check or paid? Is that legal?
- Every thing is legal, till you are caught. See Elliot Spitzer..
5. Can "A"'s wife open a company on EAD and also keep working on her H1B?
- Who is this "A" you are continously referring to. Remind me of Amitabh's song. Ek rahe A , ek rahe B, Ek rahe fateh, ek rahe hum.

I guess the only question that remains now is if I beat the clock and am able to file I-485 (assuming everything works out in EB2 case) before the current H1B expires, what would my status be until I receive my EAD. My understanding is that is takes few months for the EAD to be approved but the H1 has long expired. Are you in status or out of status then?

Yep, thats what I paid ;) And while its true that we are spending a lot of money on our GC process, saving a few dollars here or there always helps.

you are right, this is still true. they write the counslate name which you attended last time for your F1 VISA interview. you can change that but again it takes time and money
In my case, my I-797 approval document itself specified which consulate I had to go to, which was Mumbai. In such a case, this consulate is notified of your H1B approval and you cannot go elsewhere for stamping. Of course, this was 8 years ago so things might have changed.

Has anybody tried booking an emergency apointment? I was checking that some time back when I wanted to go urgently and it says that it is for people wanting to visit US for urgent family matters and not for people who are currently in the US and visiting home country. Anybody has tried this (going from US to get visa stamped in India in an urgent situation?).
