AT&T should have really have sorted out all those problems by now considering the length of time the iphone has been out. Just about everywhere in the world exclusivity has ended or just about to end, hopefully Verizon will get the iphone. AT&T has really damaged the iphones reputation and probably put more people off buying the iphone and going for a alternative. :apple:

Not everyone will want to install BOTH updates.
everyone WILL have to install both updates, you can not update the SMC until you update the EFI, the SMC wont even show up in Software Update until the EFI is done
also, i did the SMC update, and the fans are so freaking loud, i mean LOUD

I also find it ironic that people are being told to buy a song which famously has the lyric;

Recipe and shopping list Palm / Windows Mobile apps like Pocket Cook date from 2000. That one in particular won awards for years.
What you mean is, it wasn't until iOS that the mass public else took notice. Millions of us were surfing the web and using apps on PDAs, smartphones and tablets long before that.
i remember they had add ons back then to get cell data, but it was expensive. did they have OTA contact and calendar sync?

Insurance rates based on mileage driven are also gaining traction.
This question is always asked on Canadian vehicle insurance applications, but everyone lies.
Same thing with the "do you use your vehicle to drive to and from work"?
Lies, all lies. ;)
But, I do favour users fees.
If gas taxes don't cover that in the age of the electric car, then we have GPS in cars to record, and report when prompted, mileage driven.

But seriously, if I were him, I'd just say "Screw off Apple, you didn't care about me until I was famous!" Then submit my app for Android.
What happened to "Think Different." ?
Apple has their hand in the back pocket of too many politicians, it seems.

So, earlier in the week I had an issue with my iPhone and it wasn't working. While my phone was out of commission, I was watching G4 TV and X-Play was on and they had a review of games on the iPhone. The game I saw was an RPG mixed with a Bejeweled game. You would be fighting a creature and in order to gain armor, health, and attacks you have to match items like Bejeweled. Swords, Hearts, Potions, things of that nature. I never wrote the name of the game down and I've clearly forgotten the name. Even googling G4 isnt helping at the moment so I figured I would come here and ask:
Does anyone know the name of this game from how I described it? Its driving me crazy ;)
also, sorry for the lengthiness of the post.

That's awesome! I can't even talk my husband into waiting for me until 3:30.
Yeah my parents kick ass, I think I will pass on returning them (still in the 40 year return policy.) My dad is there cause he is buying one, but my mom really doesn't want to be there...I am just trying to finish up some work at the house before heading out there...will take my dads ipad1 w/iphone 4 tethering to do some work while there....cannot wait to get my chick-fil-a for lunch.

What will the future of air travel holds?
1. Boomless supersonic jet (NYC to LAX in 2.5 hours).
2. inexpensive jetblue/southwest flight in continent, price point $200 round trip, todays money of course
3. weight/bag restriction to increase fuel economy-saving us money
4. packing sardines even tighter allowing more seats (I hope this will not come to pass).
5. computer/machine pilot (yes, they can handle landing and take-off)--eliminating overpaid pilots and terrorism too
6. no food service (don't worry no one will starve to death, we are in a middle of a obesity epidemic for god sake)- saving weight and money
7. reduce flight attendance by at least 50% (no food see above), and add a "useful" security guard to control rowdy passenger - saving us money
If you can't reduce the weight of a LCD or OLED or whatever screen, don't add it to every seats. I think the future is clear and it looks like it will diverge into two paths. 1) basic travel that allows people to do it more frequently or 2) travel in comfort and pay more thus less frequent travel. I'm not talking about first class travel here.
Think about it, wouldn't you want to travel anywhere in the US more frequently say 7+ times a year, or 1 or 2 times a year and have all the amenities (meal, iPod, movies and overpaid pilots)?
Tune in your fear and imagine the possibility with me:D

This would be pretty cool idea. When you arrive at the Zoo, Museum, etc you connect to their wi-fi network. Then at each exhibit they have the RFID thing in place and you just put your phone up to the RFID reader and your phone loads a quick video on the Tiger, Lions, etc.
Just a thought.
Edit: I think the RFID devices have to be basically be touching to actually do anything, I don't think walking through turn style would pick it up. I guess this level of sensitivity is adjustable, but my AMEX card has to actually touch and remain on the reader for few seconds to actually read the card.

winclone hasn't been updated in a while but could still work for you.
however, also have a look @ Casper (http://www.fssdev.com/).
I know about the WinClone part, but how would one run Casper when restoring the Windows partition?
It says the following on its website:
Casper provides a near-instant recovery capability by creating a fully bootable backup of a Windows system drive, including a backup that can boot and run directly from an external USB drive.
Requires computer with BIOS support for booting from USB hard disk drive (USB-HDD) devices. Not all computers support booting and running from USB hard disk drive type devices.
Does that mean, a backup via those means could be booted from an external HDD connected to a Mac?
